A video presentation of the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Three thousand years ago at a mountain in a desert, a people gathered and heard G‑d speak. Since the day the Torah was given, generations of Jews lived by it and died for it. In every generation, sages and simple folk studied, argued and contemplated the Torah. Their questions, answers and lessons became a dynamic part of Torah tradition. In our time, the Rebbe illuminated Torah’s traditional teachings in a revolutionary light. He conveyed its secrets to a generation and exemplified their ability to live its lessons every day. When he taught, he would always apply the Torah’s wisdom as a lesson in daily life. Learn from the Rebbe how to live.

The Five Books of Moses are divided into 53 “sidros” or portions- each of which serve as “The Sedra” for a given week of the year. Likewise, ever Sedra is divided into 7 portions-each of which serve as the “Parsha” for the given day of the week. Thus, by “religiously” studying the portion of the day, one could, in effect, complete the study of the entire Chumash during the course of the year. Held immediately following the morning services, the daily portion of Chumash along with Rashi’s commentary, is reviewed and clearly explained. This class, spiced with humorous anecdotes, is sure to be a hit.

Tanya is a basic and fundamental guide to Chassidic philosophy. It captures the deepest most abstract and profound mystical concepts of Torah and translates them into a tangible, comprehensible and inspirtational approach to sercing the Al-mighty. Authored by the legendary Rabbi Schnuer Zalman of Liadi, first Rebbe of the Chabad-Lubavitch dynasty, it incorporates within it everything from the most sublime and supernal to the most practical and mundane. The book of Tanya has been described as a great source of practical psychology for the layman as well as for the mystic. Concepts of the Kabbalah simply explained in contemporary language. Emphasis on practical value, insights into human psychology, depression and ecstasy, divine and animal soul, self-awareness, resurrection and reincarnation, spirituality and self- centeredness, "karma" and free will.
